Working alongside Read Construction Holdings and ECE Environmental Consulting Engineers, System Electrical Ltd have secured the contract to undertake the electrical works to the new ‘Tapir Zone’

Scope

This further development to the “Islands” will provide a state of the art home for the zoo’s Tapirs including the rare Malayan tapir calf born in July 2016, which is the first to ever be born at the zoo.

In addition, there is to be a new enclosure for the two sun bears who arrived at Chester Zoo in 2015, the first sun bears at Chester Zoo for 40 years and a new walk through tropical aviary.
