System Electrical are proud to announce the procurement of the Oakfield House redevelopment project.
Oakfield House, which was built around 1885 and purchased by Chester Zoo’s founder, George Mottershead in the early 1930’s.
Oakfield House and gardens became the origins of Chester Zoo, and have continued to evolve and expand for almost 90 years.
The Victorian mansion is to undergo a £2.5 million re-development comprising of refurbishment and adaption to provide a premium conference and wedding venue.
The refurbishment works include distribution upgrades, fire alarm, CCTV, security, lightning protection and a complete new power and lighting system, designed to be economical and functional whilst retaining the original charm and character of the property.
The project which requires detailed programme planning to ensure minimal disruption and a careful undertaking to protect the original fabric of the building will provide an exciting challenge to the staff at System Electrical Ltd.
